What is a thermic fluid heater
A thermic fluid heater is an industrial piece of equipment that’s used for heating. The thermic fluid heater is used only for heat transfer, not pressure. In a thermic fluid heater, thermic fluid is circulated throughout the entire system for proper heat transfer to the desired outcome. A combustion process heats up the thermic fluid, and the fluid is then carried and rejected to the desired fluid to conclude the full process. After the fluid is rejected, it comes back again into the thermic fluid heater, and the cycle repeats. The maximum temperature of the thermal fluid is 350℃ and can be achieved in a Fluidtherm, although a higher temperature of the thermal fluid can be reached if the temperature of the fluid doesn’t exceed the auto-ignition temperature.
Thermal fluid systems offer a much wider range of temperatures and a higher maximum temperature than other solutions. They can also reach higher temperatures while remaining lower in pressure, which is just as important.

Achieving High Temperatures
Thermal fluid heating systems offer a much higher range of temperatures than other options. Oil fired thermic fluid heaters can reach temperatures of 0–750° F when the system is using thermal oil. Steam-based systems operate up to 350° F before operating pressures exceed 425 PSIG. Thermal fluid heating systems using water-glycol solutions can reach approximately 30-350° F at a lower pressure than steam.

Thermal fluid heating systems require little to no maintenance due to the circuits that are streamlined and fluid that doesn’t need frequent adjustments.
